Monthly Essentials Briefings

The Essentials Monthly Briefings will be held on the second Tuesday of each month, and will provide a heads-up on what to look for in the upcoming month. The briefings are geared toward newer MASBO members, to provide a monthly overview of the upcoming tasks in the school business office. Each briefing will feature just a few key topics—for a more complete calendar list of school business tasks, please see the calendar on our web site. The briefings are at no cost to MASBO members, and require a registration for each briefing.

The briefings will be held using the Zoom conference system. Registered participants will receive an email link with login information to the Zoom system from their laptop or other devices. Because space is limited on the conference system, we ask that if there is more than one person from a location who wants to view the session that only one person register, and all participants view from the same device. Note that the first time you join a Zoom meeting, you will be asked to download the app to your computer or mobile device. We recommend installing the app before the first meeting.

Briefings may include PowerPoint presentations, examples and demonstrations. Participants will be able to submit questions during the briefing using the chat box function. All briefings will be recorded, and available to view on demand. Credits will not be offered for the briefings.
