Certification Courses Details

Buildings & Grounds II
Kerry Leider, Insurance & Risk Management Consultant – Marsh & McClennan Agency
Sarah Miller – MDE

Topics include long term facilities maintenance, financing capital projects, facilities planning, plant management, emergency preparedness and energy management.

Legal & Personnel II
Annie Doughty, Director of Community Education Operations – Wayzata Public Schools
Craig Holje, Chief HR & Administrative Services – Richfield Public Schools

Topics include personnel policies, hiring procedures, job descriptions, performance appraisals and pay equity reports. Labor relations, contract administration, staffing projections and legislation affecting personnel and EEO coordinator will also be covered.

The full agenda includes the schedule, session information, and speaker bios. A light supper will be provided at 4:30pm for those attending both certification courses.

  • A block of rooms has been reserved for November 1 and 2, 2017. On-line registration is available using this link.
  • The special room rate of $128 (plus applicable state and occupancy taxes) per night for single or double occupancy will be available until October 10, 2017 or until the group block is sold-out, whichever comes first.
  • If you are staying at the hotel and using a school credit card without your name on it, you must complete a third party authorization form.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations received by the MASBO office at least 48 hours prior to the event are eligible for a refund of the registration fee. No refunds will be provided for cancellations received fewer than 48 hours prior to the event. No-shows will be billed for any unpaid registration fees.

Audio/Video Policy: Registration and attendance at, or participation at association events constitutes an agreement by the registrant to association’s use and distribution of the registrant or attendee’s image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes of such events and activities.
